The Uttar Pradesh Real Estate Regulatory Authority (UP RERA) on February 18, 2025, issued the SOP for Project Expansion under UP RERA.
The following has been stated namely: -
• It states that any expansion of a registered real estate project must be treated as a new project and requires fresh registration.
• Developers shall submit a detailed application, including revised plans, financial estimates, and completion timelines.
• It also highlights compliance with existing approvals, buyer rights, and financial transparency.
• It ensures that project expansions do not compromise the interests of allottees and mandates strict adherence to regulations to maintain accountability in the real estate sector.
